Milton Lake Clean-Up/Live Well Picnic


RAHWAY, NJ – Mayor Samson D. Steinman is pleased to announce the clean-up of Milton lake at Milton Lake Park this upcoming Saturday, September 20, 2014. A program the Mayor has been coordinating since his high school days, this clean up encourages community members to come out, volunteer and make our City a cleaner and nicer place while protecting the environment.

This year’s lake clean-up will be accompanied with the Mayor’s LiveWell campaign and their healthy eating picnic. Participants will gather at Milton Lake Park waterfall on the Midwood Drive side and will begin the clean-up at 11:00AM.

The Community picnic begins at 1:00PM. Bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. and a healthy dish. A healthy lunch will be provided for those who participate in the clean-up.

“I am really looking forward to this event because it is a combination of two of my personal favorite projects,” said Mayor Samson D. Steinman. “We will focus on our community’s well-being as well as our own.”

Gloves, bags, garbage pickers and other supplies will be provide. Please dress comfortably.
