Community (kə-ˈmyü-nə-tē): a group of people who live in the same area, a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
The phrase, “It takes a village” applies here. Rahway is a place where we choose to live, play, work, worship, raise our families, and retire – so why wouldn’t we want to see it thrive and prosper? Communities require work, maintenance, energy, efforts, and time – all of these things require people, like you and me to pitch in and do what we can to support our community and make it a better place to live. There’s are many opportunities throughout the area to get involved in planning or helping with a community event, painting murals, starting a community garden, planting flowers, or cleaning up the town. Whatever your skills or interests, we have a place for you. We’re creating a one-stop-shop where you can visit, see the upcoming needs, sign up and be part of the progress. Invest in your community and watch it grow. Become part of something good. Be a hero – Volunteer!
